Yeah, the picture gives it away. One kayak. One canoe. Both awesome!
The kids and I spent the afternoon paddling around one of the lakes. I’m hoping to make a more adventurous trip before the weekend is up. The trailer is super-easy to pull being so light. It’s even easy to back in since it is so long.
The kayak is a Hobie Adventurer with a mirage drive. The mirage drive uses pedals to drive a couple of fins underneath the boat my son had no problem outpacing my daughter and I in the canoe. If I ever buy one of my own, it will be pedal powered!

Is that a Mazda B3000?

Yep. 269,000 miles. It’s a ‘94 model that I purchased in ‘96 and drove for 18 years. It was semi-retired when I bought my WRX in 2014.

My best friend drove its effective twin Ranger with the 3.0 for 12 years to 260k miles.

The 3.0 may be slow, but it will last forever. My mechanic said in all his years working on Fords, he's never seen a 3.0 die.

His transmission eventually kicked the bucket, but the motor remained true as day one.

It had a transmission rebuild after on inspection port plug rotted out. Fifth gear slings fluid onto that plug, so when it went, most of the fluid leaked out. When it was rebuilt they replaced that rubber plug with a freeze plug and I haven’t had an issue since.
Well, it's on the third clutch, but that's a wear item.

His was an auto. And it was slooooooow. And I drive slow cars.

Mine is a manual which is a lot better than the auto.
Slow is a relative concept. Compared to my first truck, this one is fast. Compared to my WRX, it’s ridiculously slow.
